Employee SMS/Text Messaging Consent and Acknowledgment
Urban Growers Collective (“UGC”) uses text messaging for certain work-related communications, including attendance-related communications such as reporting tardiness, call-outs, schedule issues, shift coverage, and related operational updates.
By signing below or otherwise acknowledging this notice, I authorize UGC and its designated service providers, including Twilio or any successor messaging platform, to send and receive work-related SMS/text messages to and from the mobile telephone number I provide to UGC. These messages may be sent using automated technology.
I understand that:
The text line is intended for work-related communications only, including attendance, scheduling, tardiness, call-outs, and related workplace matters.
UGC may use information submitted through the text line for legitimate employment, payroll, attendance, scheduling, operational, safety, compliance, and recordkeeping purposes.
Message frequency may vary depending on my work schedule, attendance communications, and operational needs.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on my mobile carrier and plan.
I am responsible for keeping my current mobile telephone number on file with UGC and promptly notifying UGC if my number changes or is no longer in service.
I may opt out of receiving SMS/text messages by replying STOP, or by notifying Human Resources or my supervisor in writing. If I opt out, UGC may need to use alternative methods to communicate with me about attendance, scheduling, and other work-related matters. Opting out of SMS/text messages does not excuse me from complying with UGC’s attendance, call-out, scheduling, timekeeping, or other workplace policies.
I may contact hr@urbangrowerscollective.org for assistance.
UGC does not intend to use this text line for marketing, fundraising, solicitation, or non-work-related promotional messages.
Text messages may not be secure or confidential. I should not send sensitive personal, medical, financial, or other confidential information by text unless specifically instructed by UGC through an approved process.
UGC may retain text message records in accordance with its business, employment, legal, payroll, and recordkeeping needs.
I consent to UGC’s use of SMS/text messaging as described above.
